GERMANS CHOOSE ALFA ROMEOS AS BEST IMPORTED CARS.
Readers of the leading German motoring magazine Auto Motor und Sport have chosen the Alfa Romeo 147 and Alfa Romeo 156 as the best imported cars in their respective classes, with the 147 capturing nearly 30 per cent of the votes.

Auto Motor und Sport is a true heavy weight amongst motoring titles, with a weekly readership that places it amongst the top titles of any sort in Germany. In the 29th year of presenting its annual awards, more than100, 000 people from All across Germany cast their votes, choosing their favourite cars based on their ownership experience and the features they look for in a car.

"This is a ringing endorsement of the Alfa Romeo 147 and 156, from a country that is second only to Italy for their love of performance cars," said Michael Howe, Managing Director of Alfa Romeo in Ireland. "It is further confirmation- as if any was needed - that the Alfa Romeo 156 and 147 offer a unique level of style and driving excitement that their rivals can only dream about. These cars launched Alfa Romeo into the 21st century and have now taken their place as key models in the glorious history of Alfa Romeo."
