A new way to get Hotmail on your phone


We are happy to announce that POP3 technology is now available to Hotmail users *edit 12Mar09* WORLDWIDE!
What is POP3? It is a protocol that allows almost any e-mail software program that you’ve installed on your mobile phone or PC* to get messages from your e-mail inbox on the web and deliver them in the designated program.
Although you always could access Hotmail on your web-enabled mobile phone by going to mobile.live.com, now that Hotmail has POP3, you can get to it more conveniently using the e-mail software on your PC or mobile device* such as a Windows Mobile phone, iPhone, or BlackBerry.
When you set up Hotmail in the e-mail program on your PC or mobile device, you may be asked for the following information:

POP server: pop3.live.com (Port 995)
POP SSL required? Yes
User name: Your Windows Live ID, for example yourname@hotmail.com
Password: The password you usually use to sign in to Hotmail or Windows Live
SMTP server: smtp.live.com (Port 25 or 587)
Authentication required? Yes (this matches your POP username and password)
TLS/SSL required? Yes

Πολλοι απο εσας θα αναρωτηθειτε τις μας λεει τωρα αυτος και τι μας ενδιαφερει...

Αλλα με αυτην την ειδηση γινετε εφικτο ο καθενας να εχει στο τηλεφωνο του το mail του χωρις να χρειαζετε να μπαινει σε σελιδα της MS.

Το ιδιο ισχυει για τους Mail Clients σε PC οπως ειναι ο ThunderBird, ο Eudora, το Opera Mαil ακομα και ο Build-In Mail Client του IPHONE

Νομιζω οτι αυτες τις ρυθμισεις περασα κ στο outlook στο κινητο κ εχω μαιλ ανετα.Τα ειχα βρει βεβαια με google.

Οπως τα λες ειναι...

Ειναι κανα εξαμηνο στην Κυκλοφορια... Αλλα μιας και τα Windows 7 δεν εχουν ενσωματωμενο Μail Client και Internet Explorer κατεληξα σε FireFox και ThunderBird και αυτες οι ρυθμισεις ηταν σωτηριες μιας και δεν μου αρεσει καθολου το Msn Live...
